Join Bret & Christina Tkacs on a moto-expedition through Nepal. Our travels will take us into the high mountain Mustang region at the edge of the Lost Tibetan Kingdom, then into the jungles, hills and villages of central Nepal. This adventure is not about getting from point to point, just to visit popular tourist spots. Instead, this is a true expedition that focuses on travel, building relationships and exploring local cultures. To gain the freedom of movement, we have a full expedition team that accompanies us through these remote regions. Chefs, drivers, mechanics, and guides will give us the autonomy to access regions that tourists simply don’t visit. Camp locations may vary from soccer fields on hilltops to dry rice patties terraced into hillsides, or even riverbeds at the base of Nepal’s majestic peaks. Because this expedition has the goal of exploration, our focus is on the regions and people of Nepal, not how far or fast we can ride.

Although this expedition is posted as a women and couples focused adventure, it is not gender or relationships that determine your eligibility - it is attitude. Any training or travel I do with riders requires teamwork, a relaxed attitude and a focus on life over riding; however this adventure will take it a step further. There will be more inter-rider support (cheering each other on) and our focus will be the success of the group.

To decrease the inherent risk of travel by motorcycle, Bret Tkacs and Christina Tkacs (and possibly Kandi Spangler) will be traveling with you to help you improve your strategies and skills related to riding (only if requested) and if you are in a situation beyond your skill, either Bret or one of the support crew will porter you and the motorcycle to a safe location where you can resume riding.
